Q: Is there a limit to how much money I can apply for within the Digital Media Grant?
A: There is no limit to how much you may ask for. However, we (the grantors) will be limited as to how much we will be able to distribute to the recipients (the grantees). We must distribute the grant equitably among the grantees, to a maximum limit. The maximum limit is determined by how many grantees are accepted in the program and their requested amount.
Q: Can this grant be combined with other government grants?
A: Any grantees accepted to the Digital Media Grant (DMG) program must disclose if they are combining the DMG with any other government funds (federal, provincial, local) due to CanExport Federal stacking limits. We cannot comment on other program stacking requirements and recommend applicants inform themselves on stacking limits or other restrictions. Once accepted, we will be happy to speak with accepted grantees on how to proceed.
Q: Is confirmation of a paid invoice required by the deadline, or will the standard invoice for the services procured be sufficient?
A: Yes, a paid invoice is required. This is a reimbursement program.
